I started 40th Parallel Cookery as a way to share my experiences and encourage others to discover their creative jam. I have my own artistic vision and projects, but discovered I really enjoyed helping others tell their stories and started a publishing house--35 book babies--then realized there are many ways to tell a story and I can help you find yours.

Our society--western mostly US society--makes us behave like squirrels on meth chasing our tails, chasing that chimera, success. Seriously, I get agita when I log on to social media and get whipped into the treadmill of life on this planet. I believe that we won't solve our many, stupid problems until we are revving on all cylinders and that means discovering our creative jams, which in turn help us heal our souls, a vital component of wellness in mind and body. We are only as strong as our weakest link. We are all in this together.

When you are in sync with your soul, which gives direction to your mind and body, you are functioning at a high state. You body is healthy, your mind is free of the useless structures you built to house your worry.
I have found that creativity is what frees the spirit, what helps all the moving parts move a little easier. I help you discover your creative jam and brainstorm with you the many ways to make that creative jam the biggest part of your life and identity. So your spirit can fly.

Sheba’s all about you succeeding and shares her knowledge and experience to make that happen. If you are looking for help in starting or finishing a creative project, she’s the perfect person. Her education, work experience, entrepreneurial drive and amazing sense of humor peppered with compassion make working with her a joy. We’ve worked together on many projects, including the three literary works she’s encouraged me to create and coached me to publish. I’m not sure I’d have had the belief in myself to pursue publishing or the knowledge and drive to navigate the process without her.
